With the release of HALion Sonic SE 3, featuring granular, virtual analog, wavetable synthesis, ultra-authentic tone wheel organ and powerful sample playback, creators now have a solid platform on which to build high quality virtual instruments.

Here at Sonic Kit we're dedicated to making the most of the powerful Halion synthesis engine that Steinberg have built into HALion Sonic SE 3 and are working to create innovative virtual instruments that are both easy to use and creatively engaging.

By basing our instruments on the FREE HALion Sonic SE 3 we need not compromise quality while still being able to offer good value for money.

In Development

We're currently developing several virtual instruments, including:

  • A basic starter set, with drums, bass, guitar, piano and strings
  • A classic mono synth we're calling the SK-101
  • An electronic drum kit based on an octagonal orignal
  • An innovative procedural synth for cinematic atmospheres

    • HALion Sonic SE3

    HALion Sonic SE 3 is a stripped-down version of HALion Sonic 3 without giving up on sound quality and accessibility. The streamlined VST workstation lets you load and play a plethora of sound content: the SE libraries shipping with Steinberg's digital audio workstations, VST Sound Instrument Sets for HALion and the custom user libraries created within the HALion 6 sampler and sound creation system.

    HALion Sonic SE 3 is available for free as a plug-in for any VST3, VST2, AU and AAX compatible host and as a stand-alone application for macOS and Windows.

    The free HALion Sonic SE download version does not contain any content. But here at Sonic Kit we're working to fix that!
